Chemical peels are not safe

Any treatment with the word ‘chemical’ in it can put patients off because it sounds like something your skin would react badly to, but this is not the case. In fact, most chemical peels use the acids that naturally occur in fruits, such as alpha hydroxy acid, and glycolic peels use ingredients from foods such as sugar cane.
